JOB Opportunities

Business Specialists Position - Exempt ( 3 positions)

 

Specialists will engage in culturally relevant business coaching, technical assistance, one-on-one counseling, training, and support services to business owners. Experience in working with diverse populations is a must.  The specialist will report to the Technical Assistance/Engagement Director of the Latino Entrepreneurial Network. This position requires 30% travel within Wisconsin. 

  • Professional Services – will focus on assisting enterprises that sell intangibles 
  • Construction – will focus on assisting small general and specialty contractors 
  • Food and Retail – will focus on assisting food-related and retail businesses 


Specific Duties: 

  • Provide counseling or e-counseling that includes feasibility, financial, regulatory, and operational guidance, and technical assistance on the various aspects of starting and expanding a successful small business including, but not limited to: 
    • analyzing the specific business and industry data in finance, marketing, management, and operations, 
    • guiding the development of business plans and loan applications, working within a network of established partnerships. 
    • troubleshooting to identify problems and areas for venture improvement.  
    • guiding expansion to include employment requirements, business licensing, and requirements 
    • Ensure that data is collected and reported timely 
    • Assist with grant reports as needed 
  • Assist business owners with financial plans or marketing plans 
  • Promote the LEN programming and advocate for small businesses through presentations and event representation 
  • Other duties as assigned by the TA/Engagement director. 


Proven Abilities:  

· Ability to work with individuals with Limited English Proficiency, limited computer literacy, and diverse levels of educational attainment 

  • Ability to work in a small team setting 
  • Small Business Experience  
  • Willingness to Learn  
  • Oral and Written Communications English and Spanish. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite products or Google Suite Tools 

Education:  

B.A., B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, Construction related fields or related fields with two years of experience in their field or business ownership/operations. 

A.A., A.S. with four years of experience in business ownership and operations and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for this position may be accepted.

Chief Empowerment Director– Financial Empowerment Programs - Application deadline 9/23/2022.

 

The Latino Entrepreneurial Network is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Chief Empowerment Director. The incumbent will administer, implement, and monitor our clients' financial and entrepreneurial programs. This position requires 25% travel. 


Specific Duties: 

  • Administer and implement evidence-based financial empowerment programs for entrepreneurs and their families that are culturally and linguistically relevant. 
  • Assess client needs. 
  • Support and maintain existing partnerships with key stakeholders 
  • Serve as the Chief Financial Coach for the organization. 
  • Monitor and Create reports required for federal, state, and private foundation projects 
  • Supervise a team of technical assistance specialists. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director to ensure efficient and effective operations.


Proven abilities:

 Ability to work in a small team setting 

  • Small Business Experience  
  • Willingness to Learn  
  • Oral and Written Communications English and Spanish. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite products or Google Suite Tools 


Requirements: 

  • M.B.A or Masters in Public Administration with a minimum of three years of experience supervising a diverse team
  • Ability to work with monolingual Spanish individuals with different levels of literacy   
  • Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Productivity products 
  • Knowledge of adult financial or entrepreneurial training and business coaching principles 
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills 
  • Minimum of three years working with underserved or underbanked populations and prior experience as an entrepreneur or business coach 
  • Ability to work in a small team setting  
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
